The quality of your communication directly affects your ability to authentically connect, influence, inspire, and engage your co-workers, clients and other stakeholders. It can create stress or bring ease and joy to your workday. How you communicate can make or break your career.
Yet, so many of us are unaware of our style of communication. We make assumptions, react, interrupt, judge and/or forget in the heat of a high-paced results-oriented workday to be kind and empathetic. Our need to be right filters our conversations bringing with it our biases and boundaries.
The MINDFUL COMMUNCATION program is a mind/body training course which focuses on the three mini conversations that are present within each verbal transaction. It also addresses: (1) the difference between power and force within your communication; (2) how to align what you think and feel with what you communicate; and (3) how to move beyond your initial reaction to fully listen.
Using a variety of methodologies including mind/body/energy practices, dialogue sessions, lectures, small group breakouts and case scenarios, participants will learn to listen beyond reactivity and let go of other limiting communication habits when in high-pressured situations.
