Overview

This webinar provides a practical approach to resolving workplace conflict and using mediation-style skills to support constructive conversations. Participants begin by exploring why conflict develops, how different perceptions and emotional responses can intensify disagreement, and why addressing the underlying issue is often more effective than focusing only on the visible argument.

The session then examines how to prepare for a conflict conversation, establish a constructive tone, listen to each perspective, ask neutral questions and separate positions from underlying needs or interests. Participants also consider techniques for de-escalating tension, identifying common ground and moving the conversation towards realistic agreements and next steps.

Why you should Attend

Unresolved workplace conflict rarely disappears simply because people stop discussing it. Misunderstandings can become assumptions, positions can harden and relatively small disagreements can begin to affect wider team relationships and performance.

This webinar gives participants a practical framework for approaching difficult conversations with greater structure and confidence. It explores how to de-escalate tension, listen without immediately taking sides, identify interests beneath stated positions and facilitate a conversation that moves from disagreement towards constructive action.
