Overview

AI is no longer a single category of tool. Professionals can now use AI for individual prompts, scheduled tasks, reusable skills, workflows, and increasingly sophisticated agents. Without a clear framework, organizations may choose solutions that are unnecessarily complex or poorly suited to the work.

This session breaks down three important approaches: AI Tasks, reusable AI Skills, and AI Agents. Participants will learn how Tasks can support recurring actions, how Skills can capture reusable instructions and expertise, and how Agents can coordinate multi-step workflows toward a larger goal.

The session will focus on practical decision-making. Participants will examine factors such as frequency, complexity, predictability, required judgment, number of steps, need for external actions, and level of human oversight.

Through examples and exercises, attendees will evaluate different workplace scenarios and determine which AI approach makes the most sense.

By the end of the session, participants will have a practical framework they can use to assess AI opportunities, avoid unnecessary complexity, and select the right level of AI capability for different types of work.

Why you should Attend

As AI capabilities expand, professionals face a new challenge: deciding what type of AI solution fits a particular problem. Some work only needs a simple task. Other activities benefit from reusable skills, while more complex workflows may require an AI agent.

This session provides a clear, practical framework for distinguishing between AI Tasks, Skills, and Agents. Participants will learn how each approach works, what kinds of problems each is best suited to solve, and how to avoid overcomplicating AI adoption. Through real-world examples, attendees will practice matching different types of work to the right AI capability. The session will help leaders and professionals make smarter choices about where to begin, what to automate, and when a more advanced AI solution is actually justified.
